We specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — an approach that gets underneath the patterns that keep pulling you apart and changes them from the inside out.
Jonathan Zalesne, LPC is the founder and supervising therapist for our practice. He is an ICEEFT Certified Therapist and Supervisor and has worked with well over a thousand couples. He runs consultation groups for new and experienced couples therapists, provides individual supervision to therapists at every level, teaches the EFT model, and is regularly consulted on the cases other therapists find hardest. Couples are all we do.
We work with couples across the spectrum — from people who are generally doing well but have hit a rough patch, to couples in full-blown crisis.
Some come in because of an affair. Some come in because they have been disconnecting slowly for years and finally noticed. Some come in because they fight about everything and cannot figure out why.
What they have in common is that they want something different — and they are willing to show up for it.
Disconnection, conflict, communication breakdowns, life transitions. We work with the patterns underneath the fights — not just the fights themselves.
Affairs, betrayal, rebuilding trust. We do not shy away from the hardest conversations. Many of the couples we work with come out the other side with a relationship that is more honest than anything they had before.
Our clinical approach. EFT does not teach you communication skills and hope they stick. It addresses why you are not communicating in the first place — and when that shifts, the new behaviors come naturally.
We also offer video sessions statewide for couples anywhere in Colorado.
Call us. You can talk as long as you want, ask whatever you need to ask — no strings attached.
We are a little less than 2 miles east of the Hampden exit of I‑25. From Cherry Creek or the DTC, about 10–15 minutes. From Greenwood Village or Centennial, 10–15 minutes. From Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, or Littleton, 15–20 minutes. Free parking is available in the building lot.
Yes. We offer telehealth sessions for anyone in Colorado. If the drive does not work for your schedule, video sessions are the same length and the same approach — just no commute.
We are a private-pay practice. Most insurance does not cover couples therapy, and couples therapy is all we do — taking insurance was never a practical fit. We can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan covers it.
That is common. One partner is often more ready than the other. Your partner does not need to be fully on board — just willing to come in and see what it is like.
We do believe that we approach therapy differently than many couples therapy practices. You can read about our approach here.
The fastest way is to schedule a session online. You can also call us at (303) 682-6900 — you can talk as long as you want, ask whatever you need to ask, no strings attached. Or send us a message and we will get back to you.
