The practice exclusively treats couples and relationships using Emotionally Focused Therapy, a research-backed approach with three decades of clinical evidence. CCCF is not a group practice that also sees couples — couples work is all they do. ## Team - Jonathan Zalesne, MA, LPC — Founder. ICEEFT Certified Therapist and Supervisor (one of ~300 Supervisors in the US). 25 years in business leadership (Oracle) before becoming a therapist. Specializes in infidelity recovery, deep disconnection, and high-conflict couples. - Laura "Lola" Sciarcon, MA, LMFTC, LPCC — Associate therapist specializing in couples and family therapy. - Shoshana Ort, LCSW — Associate therapist. ## Clinical Approach CCCF uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a structured, attachment-theory-based approach developed from the research of Dr. Sue Johnson. EFT addresses the underlying attachment insecurity that drives disconnecting behaviors in relationships, rather than teaching communication skills or behavioral techniques at the surface. The relationship is treated as the client. Disconnecting behaviors are understood as ineffective reaches for connection, not character flaws. Three-session intake: couples session first, then individual sessions with each partner. ## Services - [Couples Counseling](https://coloradocouples.com/couples-counseling/): EFT-based couples therapy for disconnection, conflict, and relationship distress. - [Infidelity Recovery](https://coloradocouples.com/infidelity-therapy/): Structured three-phase approach — stabilization, understanding, and rebuilding. - [Individual Therapy](https://coloradocouples.com/individual-therapy/): Individual therapy grounded in attachment and relational frameworks. - [Telehealth](https://coloradocouples.com/telehealth-couples-therapy-colorado/): Secure telehealth couples therapy available to anyone in Colorado. ## Key Pages - [Homepage](https://coloradocouples.com/) - [What is EFT?](https://coloradocouples.com/what-is-eft/) - [About Jonathan Zalesne](https://coloradocouples.com/about-jonathan/) - [About the Practice](https://coloradocouples.com/about-cccf/) - [Denver Office](https://coloradocouples.com/denver-office/) - [FAQ](https://coloradocouples.com/faq/) - [Articles Library](https://coloradocouples.com/library/) - [Schedule a Session](https://coloradocouples.com/schedule-now/) - [Contact](https://coloradocouples.com/contact/) ## Articles - [Why we keep having the same fight](https://coloradocouples.com/articles/why-we-keep-having-the-same-fight/) - [Intrusive thoughts after infidelity](https://coloradocouples.com/articles/intrusive-thoughts-after-infidelity/) - [Normal reactions after discovering an affair](https://coloradocouples.com/articles/normal-reactions-after-discovering-an-affair/) - [How to rebuild trust after an affair](https://coloradocouples.com/articles/how-to-rebuild-trust-after-an-affair/) - [Do I stay or do I go?
